MACCA RUMOURS CONTINUE лл

Rumours continue that winger Steve

McManaman is still set to leave the club with

Juventus leading chase although AC Milan are

also interested. McManaman's contract is up at

the end of next season and it is quite feasible

that the Reds will let him go. The England man

was on the verge of leaving the club a couple of

weeks ago when he reportedly open negotiations

himself, through his agent, with the Spanish side.

Apparently Macca didn't meet anyone himself

but his agent did.

Roy Evans refused to comment on the latest speculation that

Macca will not be a Liverpool player for much longer. The boss

simply said: "He is a major part of the side and most play is

engaged around him. We are delighted he is still with the team."

Now the McManaman speculation seems to go hand in hand with

Georgi Kinkladze speculation. Liverpool are still keen on

Manchester City midfielder and the move is still a very real

possibility no matter what you hear from Manchester City. Frank

Clark is repeatedly saying: "Georgi will stay as long as he is

happy." Both Clark and Francis Lee seemed to have accepted the

situation that as soon as Kinkladze wants to leave then he can.

Reportedly Boro boss Bryan Robson has turned down chance of

getting involved in the battle for Kinkladze's signature by admitting

that he is 'too much of an individual'.

The Reds will have Kinkladze, along with James Quinn of Northern

Ireland international, watched in tomorrow evening's game

involving Man City and Blackpool.

Roy Evans will also decide on Paganin within the next few days.

There is also a decision to be made on Sedadze, the captain of

Georgia who is a big mate of Kinkladze, and the Reds can take him

for nothing under the Bosman ruling so Roy Evans is trying to fix

up a few games. West Ham are still after Sedadaze but Peter

Storrie has said they can't get him until Reiper goes to Celtic.

WHO TO LEAVE OUT лл

Tomorrow the Reds travel to Elland Road to take on a mixed up

Leeds United. The big question for the boss is who to leave out.

Well it seems he will he leave out Michael Owen and not Karl

Heinz Reidler for a fit again Fowler. Evans had admitted recently:

"We have to be careful. It is time to give Owen a break. He won't

thank us for that, he is a very determined young lad."

EVANS HAPPY лл

Boss Roy Evans this morning declared himself fully satisfied with

his players' commitment in Saturday's one all draw at Ewood Park,

even though the final score left the Reds still looking for their first

win in the Premiership this season with three games already

played.

Evans said that after the disappointment of the performance against

Leicester City. He felt the players stood up to be counted and

there is no way he could criticise individuals or team effort.

Evans said: "We created the more clear cut chances against

Blackburn and if we continue to show the same passion and effort

we will be okay."
